RebDB v1.4 Development
« on: April 28, 2004, 07:25:06 PM »

Well, RebDB v1.3 is a bit of a milestone release for us as it implements all the features required by our applications. So the question is, where next? Various folks have suggested things like:
    [li]NULL support
    [li]commit / rollback
    [li]joins / sub-selects
    [li]varchar
    [li]expressions in the update clause
    [li]expressions in the select clause
    [li]alter
    [li]more doco
Here's your chance to get in the driver's seat and tell us what *you* want. I'll let the poll run to the end of May and see where we go from there.

Mostly internal at the moment, but includes home-grown:
    [li]Customer / Supplier Databases
    [li]Workflow management system
    [li]Simple Accounting system
    [li]Stock / Price lists
Most of these started out as spreadsheets, but moving the data to RebDB and the interface to VID has added value for little time / effort.

On the commercial side, I am involved with a company specialising in digital imaging and records management (ImageMan Pty Ltd) software. Our exisitng products are being converted over to RebDB, and all products currently under development are already using it.
