Actually the spammers never left...
We delete a minimum of 6 spam per day, these spammers register as a member and add post advertising their web site. Nov. through Feb. are the spamiest month's

We could set up the board to moderate all new posts as mentioned in the above link, but then it would cause a delay in posting as well as possible confusion and or frustration for new members looking for help.
The Forum is set up to reject many known spam addresses such as *@gawab.com and mail.ru . We add to that list as we see a trend in spam sign up's using a particular address.
Our moderators visit the forum several times during the day and delete spam and the offending users accounts.
All posts have the option to report them to the moderator, we encourage viewers to do so if you come across offensive posts.
Furthermore, all users should make sure that
Hide email address from public? is checked in your profile settings to avoid spammers collecting your e-mail addresses!
