Pragmattic Programmer Dave Thomas has a great idea in his weblogs: Programming Katas. These are like the exercises used in Karate, only with code. http://www.pragprog.com/pragdave/Practices...Kata/Index.rdocI'm still struggling with Rebol, but I'm determined to make it work. As I try to code I learn as I go along, but it is a tough going. Why don't we follow Dave's example, and create a set of Kata's for working with Rebol. Early Katas could build familiarity with Datatypes, Series and Functions. More advanced Kata's tackle Parsing and other useful idioms that I'm sure the experienced REBOLers know about and I don't. What do you think?

I came across Dave's blog about a month ago. While I found it interesting, I was diasppointed that there seemed to be only puzzles, no exploration of possible answers.
I think REBOL lends itself very well to the Kata approach, so if you have the time, I'd say go-for-it.
I've personally struggled with writing tips/tutorials for REBOL. I dislike adding more noise unless it is very high-quality/comprehensive. And, of course, that level of quality is quite difficult to achieve.
