REBOL Version Confusion

Hello everyone!

Could someone please help me clear up my confusion regarding REBOL versions? My confusion stems from the fact that the current "flavor" I'm running reports the following upon entering the console mode:


REBOL/View 1.3.2.3.1 5-Dec-2005 Core 2.6.3
Copyright 2000-2005 REBOL Technologies.  All rights reserved.
REBOL is a trademark of REBOL Technologies. WWW.REBOL.COM


I downloaded another file of the same "flavor" from http://www.rebol.net/builds and it reports:


REBOL/View 1.3.50.3.1 14-Oct-2005 Core 2.7.0
Copyright 2000-2005 REBOL Technologies.  All rights reserved.
REBOL is a trademark of REBOL Technologies. WWW.REBOL.COM


And here is my confusion: comparing the version numbers for /View and /Core, the second one is newer. Looking at the dates, however, tells a different story. So what should be my basis for determining the later version, the version numbers or the dates?

An insight into the date & version mismatch woule be highly appreciated too.

There's been a little confusion with some beta/alpha releases. You can tell it's not an official release because the third number is >= 50. That version contains a few features that for a number of reasons didn't get to the official 1.3.2 release (eg. Rebcode). So 1.3.2 is actually newer.
