What exactly is a link User?

Quote
Express costs $2,000 which includes IOS Serve and 10 Link users. Additional users are $100 each with discounts for systems of 30 or more users.

I'm looking at this from A Hosting providers point of view.

If I install IOS on one of our servers as I think it might make a good support portal.

Would I then have to pay $100.00 per client for them to be able to interact with us?

I think that is correct.  You have to pay $100 per seat after the first 10 seats.

The company that Gabriele works for offers cheaper IOS hosting though.  Guess they got a bulk buy price.

I think the real question is does User refer to individual seats or concurrent logins?

You can have one user doing concurrent logins (depends on settings on the server).

So, in MJ's situation, the basic license will be fine as long as no more than 10 users are accessing the system at the same time.  There could be, say, 100 different users but its ok as long as they don't all try to use the system at once?

How is the 10 user limit enforced?

Each user has a login name and a password. If you have a 10 user license, you can only create 10 such users on the server.

If anyone is interested in trying out IOS, just fill in this form:

selecting "REBOL IOS - Free Account".

Thanks for all the information,as we have a few hundred clients it looks like IOS isn't very practical for what I had in mind...

Perhaps our developers could create custom application for a support portal.

That is, if I can talk them into learning REBOL and if we can find the time.   Smiley

If you have a few hundred users, you'll probably be able to get a deal from RT. Just contact Cindy and ask her for pricing.
