« on: October 20, 2005, 09:34:32 AM »

Hello,

Not being a programmer, I'm looking for a not to difficult langage !

I'd like to know what rebol can do with sound and midi.

Is it possible to use wave, mp3, ogg.. and is it free or not ?

same thing with using midi...  B)

I'd like to make softs for children.

P.S. sorry for the english... from France  Smiley

For wav, rebol should do... more or less
for mp3, ogg and midi, you can use them if you have a view/pro license. (not free then :(()

I had made a wrapper for SDL_mixer some time ago, you can find it on the "Rebol Documentation Project" (in french :)) which could support the formats you are interested in, but can't say if the functionalities will fulfill all your needs.

The link to the wrapper :
