mailing list doesn't use rebol anymore

I remember a couple of years ago, rebol code ran the mailing list.

I just re-subscribed and noticed  Ecartis aka listar runs the mailing list now.

What happened ?

Does this bode ill for rebol ?

Same goes for this forum.

There are PHP and perl based forum's.

Does this mean that rebol just can't handle it

I'm sort of shocked by the way.  I thought rebol was getting faster and better but these items seem to be a backward step.

I'm going to try the Sassenrath's to get a reponse.

That's Carl Sassenrath's blog, and there's also mention in it of a REBOL message-boad here: http://www.rebol.net/article/0049.html

That's obviously a simple one, but I can't think of any reason why a full-featured board like this one couldn't be written in REBOL.

As to whether SELMA could handle the level of spam a mailing list would get these days is a different matter.   But as with a message-board, being REBOL-based wouldn't be the deciding factor, but how well or otherwise the program was written.

A look back through Carl's blog should give you some indication of where REBOL is currently.
