Why my work e-mail unacceptable

The 1st response from the attempt to subscribe with my work e-mail seems promising:
  *****************************
# John_Dutcher@URMC.Rochester.edu has requested that you be subscribed rebol mailing list.

# To subscribe, reply to this message, leaving the message body # intact, or send the following lines in e-mail to # lists@rebol.com:

---

but after 'replying' as directed, the following always results: HuhHuh

There's been mailing-list problems.  See...

http://www.rebol.org/

So it may be due to just when you attempted to subcsribe.  Try again, and if you still have problems, mention it again here and I'll ask about it on the list.

Well - I see you've made a post to the list, if not with your Rochester email address, so I guess you can ask yourself if needs be.

Also, for future generations reading this, REBOL.org was carrying a front-page notice about the Great June-2004 Mailing List Outage.

But now it's fixed (we hope), the best place to go for advice on joining it is:

I wanted to use the work e-mail just because it saves logging into the 'net and going to yahoo.com for retrieval of my personal e-mail (which is an address that rebol-request honored without problems).  It just occurred to me
that my user.r file does not have good values for SMTP AND POP (because I don't know them for my work exchange server).....yet it doesn't seem as though that would matter since I would expect the e-mail to be handled by MS Exchange, our network client in this case, not Rebol.
YET........the sign-up page says; make sure you have your mail server values set in your user.r file...H-m-m-m-m  ??
